If you dont know, mechanima are mini movies made from game footage - and heres the best i have ever seen! - not least because of the banging industrialised soundtrack made entirely of game sounds!!!

I like that, very well done. Before I had seen the vid you posted I always stuck with the Red vs. Blue series, I'm a big Halo fan which probably helps...

The reason i like The Ballad Of Black Mesa so much though, is the pure inventiveness and the lengths they went to, but I'll have to watch more of that Halo one!

definitely the one you posted is in a whole different arena in terms of inventiveness, but I wanted to post something and since I didn't have anything as cool I went to Red vs. Blue. I think most are up on youtube since they have their own channel there. -M

the company is LitFuseFilms and theyve done some other pretty cool stuff too
'dont shoot the wockets' made me laugh quite a bit - and that was something they just threw tothether randomly
so i expect some awesome stuff from them in the future!

My favourite is Arby n' the Chief. It's not really quite a machinima, but it is on machinima.com. But it is very very very funny. Some episodes (especially later on) lose it a bit, but then there will be an episode like the wedding one which makes it all better.

ooh i had forgotten about arby and the chief, saw a few of the early ones and thought it was really funny. i am going to have to look that up! -M
